DAVID M. DINCEDavid Dince heads a medical malpractice practice group which includes the defense of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. His group also represents physicians in matters before the New York State Department of Health and The Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC). He is a trial partner and is also the firm's Managing Partner. Mr. Dince also has extensive experience in complex litigation management. He has had administrative responsibility for the hundreds of asbestos cases involving a large corporate client, and for the thousands of New York cases against the Manville Personal Injury Settlement Trust. He is a graduate of Hamilton College and obtained his law degree from New York Law School. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County until he joined the firm in 1981. Mr. Dince has lectured before the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Psychoanalysis, the National Society of Clinical Social Workers, and the Risk Management Association of New York. He has also served on the faculty at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Intensive Trial Advocacy program. Mr. Dince was selected for Super Lawyers in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and was appointed an Adjunct Instructor of Clinical Law at Brooklyn Law School in 2012. He lives in Brooklyn Heights with his wife Lisa, a Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School. They have three daughters, Rebecca, Molly and Hannah.
